Instructor-led training over the internet

Save time and travel expenses! Learn from an instructor from the comfort of your own home.

Using the Part 141 approved Ground School in a Box course and live web conferencing, we bring expert instruction to you wherever you are. All you need to receive training is a computer and a high speed internet connection.

After viewing the instructor-led presentation, you will be encouraged to cement the newly acquired knowledge by completing the fill-the-blanks exercises and practicing taking the FAA quizzes using the actual FAA questions. During the learning process, you will never have to struggle alone. If you get stuck or confused, just email your questions to the instructor who will reply to you promptly. You can also interact with the other students in the same course.

How it works

When the tuition fee has been received and before each meeting, an email will be sent to you with a link to the meeting site. Click on the sent link to access the meeting site, click "Yes" or "Always" on a Windows computer or "Trust" on a Mac if prompted to accept the download. When requested, enter the meeting password provided.

After entering the meeting space and establishing audio contact with your instructor, the instructor will begin the presentation. The instructor will write and draw on the white board any elements that may help you better understand the concepts and you will be welcome to ask any questions that you may have just as if you were meeting your instructor face-to-face. Your instructor will prompt you to participate to all the exercises and will ensure that you have mastered all the important concepts before the end of each session. All the printed material required for the class is available for download at www.smarterpilot.com after you log in. There is no need to buy any manual to complete the class.

At the end of each session, we recommend that you complete all the appropriate fill-the-blanks exercises and practice answering the FAA questions applicable to the section to ensure your success. When the lectures are over, you will have ten extra days to practice taking the final exam. Upon successful completion of the classroom (requires a score of 80% or better), you will receive a graduation certificate and an instructor endorsement for the knowledge test.
